Coming into Motherhood, 2018
Print on Canvas
This painting emerged from the tender, turbulent season of early motherhood—a time of nurturing a new life while feeling the quiet unraveling of my own sense of self. It holds the weight of exhaustion, the beauty of intimacy, and the complex dance between society’s expectations of womanhood and my own inner truth.
It is both a personal reflection and a universal echo—of those moments when we lose ourselves in order to become something more.
This is a print on canvas.
The original painting is oil on stretched canvas 40 x 36 inches.
This painting became part of works I did over a few years that I call “Finding yourself Missing“. You can read more about it here and see the artworks here.
