How to choose a print?

Choosing the right print will depend on what style of finished art you want on your wall. Do you prefer framed works (choose paper of canvas in borderless or with white border) or do you plan on having a stretched canvas look (choose canvas with printed border).

Here are some details of what all the options mean:

Canvas vs paper finish

I offer prints in two surface finishes. Hi-quality paper (looks like watercolor paper) and canvas. The type of printing surface I offer depends on how I painted the original. If it was on paper I offer the same to emulate the look. Same goes for canvas.

*If there is a painting you like but I don't offer the surface you prefer don't hesitate to contact me and ask.

Borderless, white border or printed border

Choosing with border or without depends a lot on how you plan to hang your art. Are you framing your piece or is in going to be stretched like a canvas?

Here are your options and when to choose them:

BORDERLESS:

This is a good option if you plan to frame the print in a frame without a matte. It means the art is printed right to the edge of the paper/canvas.

WHITE BORDER:

This is a good option if you plan to frame the art print using a frame with a matte.

For paper prints I leave 2 inches around print, for canvas it's 3 inches.

PRINTED BORDER:

This is the best option for art prints that are stretched over a frame. It means an additional part of the painting is printed around the borders so the painting continues on the sides. For this option I add 3 inches.

Embelished print or not

An embellished print is a way to have a unique piece without the price of an original. It is an archival print on to which the artist hand paints details. This create a one of a kind piece, no two embellished pieces are alike. It also adds the brushstroke texture of an original painting in some areas on the artwork.
