Drifting between an art practice and home can be challenging. This painting is about those two worlds coexisting but perhaps they don’t quite merge perfectly. I love how the white page in the middle invites self-reflection and speaks to possibilities. A warm cozy home depicted on the left and a cold, industrial space where the magic happens on the canvas. This work also celebrates the importance of transitions. How to move from one thing to the next and taking the time we need to allow for that change of space (physically, mentally and emotionally).
